I will add photos of my home to my homekeeping blog from now on. And I just want to keep life simple so one blog is better for me.
Thanks for following/reading. Hope you all check out my homekeeping blog sometime. I will be posting pictures of my home on it very soon!

Thanks again!

My new purse

I was at Winners today (a discount type store here in Canada) and found a new purse. Yay! :) I've been looking for a new one for a while. My other white purse is finally wearing down. This one is cute because of the heart on the outside of the purse and the cute crown fabric on the inside. The outside is shiny and smooth so its very easy to wipe down so it wont get dirty! :)  Im probably the only

Guys like white too!

Just wanted to show any skeptics out there that men can enjoy the comfort and calming of white decor too :)This is my husband (Rob) relaxing on our Ikea furniture (playing with our son's mini laptop). He is actually quite comfortable.
And here's our son (Rocky) in our dining room on his birthday.

Frugal and Simple.. and Pretty?........... my desk area

This is my desk area.  Im really into a look of simplicity lately. The cost for creating this look:
- desk..... $30 Ikea.
- chair....... $25 Ikea
- chair slipcover........ $5 on sale one time from Ikea ( I purchased 11 of them at $5 each. That was probably one of the best deals I have ever found! I believe they were normally $55! each)

Bed Skirt Idea

My new 'bed skirt'. Instead of using an actual bed skirt, I created this look by pulling the top sheet down to the floor. An interesting idea if you want to change up the look of your bed :)
Im hoping our next place will have cement floors like the photo in my blog header. I would love to find a condominium with cement flooring and pure white walls. However, if we end up staying in this house and

Project Dining Room---Painting complete

So as promised.... :) Here is the "after photo" of my dining room table. It took me longer than expected to complete it because I was sick for almost a week with a bad migraine and busy as well. I may do one more coat of paint in the spring or summer but for now its good enough.Id also like to get a similar blue runner as the one in my previous post in my inspiration photo. And....if we stay

Project Dining Room

Ok...so as far as my last post and the front living room....thats on hold right now because of the weather. BUT, I moved on....to the dining room. Easier to do because it requires less painting so its not necessary to have the windows open all the time.
ANYWAY..... :) Remember this table (see above picture).....

...... guess what I am doing with it.....

.....yep, its finally going WHITE. For the longest time (almost 3 years I think!), I couldn't get myself to paint it white because..well because I actually liked the mahogany finish! :) But Im finally tired of it...so...

..... here is my inspiration picture. I hope my results will turn out pretty close to this. However, my flooring is not as nice as in my inspiration photo. And..... call me crazy but Im not sanding my table before painting it LOL hahaaa too lazy. So Im just putting on the primer and then a coat of white. If it knicks and scratches...well, all the better because I still like the shabby look anyway :)
I'll post a pic of the finished result in a few days....hopefully ;)
